‘Peace comes when self is in harmony with the rhythm of the heart. This is accomplished in silent meditation by entering into the life-stream in the heart.’ – Hazrat Inayat Khan
Like with any skill, meditation requires practice, and with a little bit of effort it can become a real sanctuary for us. Its very easy for us in this fast paced, urban life to get caught up in so many external distractions taking us away from knowing who we truly are, what we truly feel moment to moment, what is our truthful internal reality regardless of our external situations. The greatest gift you can ever give yourself is a few moments of daily silence. A chance to tune in and observe the mind; your emotions; get to know yourself a little better from the inside out.
Increasing your awareness in this way leads to a blissful ability to detach from the busyness of the world around us and dive deeper into those short magical moments of silence. Here we find freedom and wiithin these moments is the birthplace of eternal love and spontaneous joy. Resting in this space as often as possible allows a deeper sense of clarity, creativity, compassion, intuition and intention to flow into your daily life. When you discover this space in your mind you allow more of your thoughts, actions, reactions and emotions to be infused with presence and love, altering the vibration of your existence and thus attracting more love and compassion into your life! The result is a deeper appreciation and a profound awareness of the divine quality of your existence.
Join me for an afternoon of silence and discussion; exploring various topics and heart opening meditation practices to relax your body and open your mind in order to perceive a deeper reality of who you are. We will also look at yoga nidra and breathing practices that support meditation. Leave feeling more connected and in tune with yourSelf.
